I know many people lost loved in the 9/11 tragedy and in other cirumstances.I have lost people close to me over the years too. I have a friend who calls me all upset when a celebrity dies and my reaction is usually something like yes it's sad but I didn't know him/her.
For some weird reason I was really blown away when I heard this morning that John Ritter died. No, I didn't know him personally but it just really blew me away. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have been watching Three's Company on Nick at Nite. Maybe it also has to do with the fact that he's the same age as my father.

Tara: Thanks for starting this post.....I heard the news this morning very early at the airport....on my headphones....I was shocked....simply because he wasn't that old.....(55 or 56)......
I used to watch Three's Company when it was first on....it was a brilliant show....he was a riot.....a total comedian as far as I'm concerned.....:(
This blew me away, too. At first I thought it was a joke on the morning radio show I usually listen to in the mornings...but the news was true!
I grew up loving Three's Company...had a crush on "Jack" even! ;) And I remember thinking about his "reblooming" career just the other day....
...totally blown away....
Strangely, the news of John Ritter's death saddened me more than the loss of Johnny Cash, who also died today, at the age of 71. (Both were named John!)
For me, perhaps, it was the fact that I gre up with John Ritter on TV and in movies.
I think we feel the loss more because he was so like us! Full of energy, bright and social... well...
Smooch- Oh I had a crush on him too! :(

Andrew: The news of John Ritter saddened me in many ways more than did the loss of Johnny Cash....and I grew up with Johnny Cash songs in my home:)......It's just that John Ritter was SO young.....(54)....and his life got cut short.....and this was all unexpected....noone apparently even knew he had a heart problem... he died from a problem in his aorta....
His current T.V. show was apparently getting great ratings....:)

sleepz.
It is sad for sure as I enjoyed 3 company
we never know when its our time
but to the lighter side of things lets look at all the enjoyment that he gave us , as it was a show that could allow me to forget reallity and sit back and relax.
what about Chrissy , what has happened to her
Was she not to fully fledged description of a dumb blonde.
Maybee thats where the dumb blonde jokes started from back in that time frame.
Jack will be missed but his memmories shall live on for a long time.
Besides he is not dead but has just moved on to a new existance somewhere else.
Isn't Summers doing infomercials for a thigh thing and a low carb diet?
