I just talked to my insurance and She said it was avalible in generic form. Is that true ?

i have boatloads of them since I have stopped taking them...they wrecked my sexual..well...it didn't jive well with me...put it that way.

Odd - are you sure it wasn't just that the pharmacy put them into bottles without the brand name on? AFAIK you can't do generic versions of a medication until a set amount of years after it was first patented, and Strattera is way too new for that.

Actually my insurance didn't want to cover it because there is no generic form. My doctors office faught for it and now I have it but believe you me,,, I have a medicaid insurance provider and if there was a generic version,,, I surely wouldn't have the brand name. They always try hard for only the generic versions.

I checked the internet and found a generic name which is Atomoxetine hydrochloride but then called my pharmacy and they said that yes it has a generic name as with all meds which is there name before they come up with one like Straterra but there is no generic form of Straterra.

That is not a generic name, that is the name of the active ingredient. The drug is called Atomoxetine HCl, the brand name is Strattera.
