I'm great at a job interview because I make them think they need me.I think I'm too emphthetic towards people. Ecspecialy to people I don't know. Between trying to do my job well and treating my guests well, I was doing a terrible job. I have the ability to show my emotions all across my face. When my co-workers saw me flushed when things started getting busy, I felt so embarassed. Co-workers were the kind of people that did not want to help me until I asked for it and I hated asking because they had more tables than I did and did'nt break a sweat. Sometimes when I did ask they felt obligated not to help because it would break me in and make me faster.Tell me what you think and if you have had a similar problem.

I was a HORRIBLE server. Absolutely horrible. I wrote down all orders and still managed to forget things like salads. I almost always forgot dinner salads because we had to make them ourselves.
The place I served at - none of the other servers helped each other. If I got myself in the weeds - I deserved to be in the weeds; sometimes the managers helped.
Yeah. I was not good at that job. :p

I wrote everything down that they ordered down to no dressing, but rung it in on the computer wrong. I had a bad habbit of doing that all the time. I could see the frustration on the managers faces. They probably thought I was crazy because that was not the first time I did that. Thanks for the reply Livinginchaos, sounds like the salad making came from TGIFridays.

close, shr!! Doolittles. Ohhhh, the managers did NOT like me. I don't know how I stayed there (off and on) over the course of a year.

Man, I was a terrible server! Timing was not one of my talents. I also kept forgetting things so I was always running back and forth from the kitchen to the tables. I was exhausted by the end of the night.....It was a good thing I had a likeable personality. It saved me from getting fired many a nights...
