View Full Version : Teen Poll, regarding teen forum livinginchaos 08-15-05, 12:23 AM Only people between the ages of 11-20 vote, please! see Nucking_Futs' post before voting. Thank you!! :D Gil R 08-15-05, 09:11 AM I voted sometimes because this is the TEEN section. We have our section, adults have their section. But adults do give good advice.. Nucking_Futs 08-15-05, 02:29 PM I only see one post by a teen member yet there are 4 actual votes. Only those votes accompanied with a post with an explanation for your choice will be counted and taken into consideration. If you are uncomfortable presenting your opinion here you may send an explanation to me or livinginchaos via the forum PM system. Thanks you Paws13 08-16-05, 01:16 PM Personally, I don't mind. I mean, adults give good advice since they were once teenagers, and a lot of them are really nice. But then again they have their own section. Unless the teenagers went into the adult section to get even ;) Albino Fox 08-16-05, 04:44 PM The forum's about teen members and teen issues, but I don't see why adults shouldn't come in and give all the advice they can. After all, they've experienced this period of their lives themselves; why not let them tell us how they made it through? Nucking_Futs 08-16-05, 10:14 PM You all make some very good points. We are just trying to figure out the majority as we have had some complaints. If you haven't voted please vote we want everyone's input. b-baller#15 08-18-05, 10:31 PM I put yes i really dont care who posts as long as i get help Bedders 08-18-05, 10:37 PM i vote all tho i've only been here like 2days so...i dunno if i count:o , i dont mind adults posting :D :) Binro 08-19-05, 12:28 AM I said sometimes but I meant "almost always." The adults give better advice and support, and there's more of them so without them it would get really slow here I think. But they do have their own section and the teen section should not be an adult section with extra people, and sometimes when most of the replies in a thread here are by adults it doesn't seem like it's really our section. But I definitely don't want you to leave! Haha so I probably should have said Yes. livinginchaos 08-19-05, 12:41 AM We really appreciate your opinions, guys! Thank you for your honesty. It's better to know what you think than to post what you think others want to hear :) Nucking_Futs 08-19-05, 07:02 AM Bedders you COUNT!!! What if we asked the adults or edited their posts to include ADULT POST in the heading of their replies. That way teens posts are not getting lost but adults can give support as well. Do you think that would help any with the confusion of who is replying to your posts? We are trying to ensure your comfort level. ARe you comfortable posting what is going on in your life knowing adults will read it or are you worried they may get mad if your ranting against your teacher or parents? Courtney and I believe this is YOUR section so speak up with where you'd like this section to head in the future please. All suggestions, concerns and questions will be addressed in a timely manner. Cherity Crybaby1898 09-20-05, 12:48 PM So how goes everything on the front line ADDitives 10-15-05, 10:33 AM i voted sometimes, becausee i think adults can help and also because if adults that post on here have kids like us and their kids have the same problems, and those parent adults read our posts, maybe they will see that some of their kids have some of the same problems, then they can help them too. and the adults who have ad/hd can also help because 1. as someone said theyve been here, but also 2. they can provide some insight into the 'future'. and i think the putting 'adults post' in the headers is a good idea becase sometimes i dont know how old people are - and its good to know where the perspective is coming from. my 'sometimes' vote was more on the YES side, but it wasnt on the 'always side', because if there's an influx of adult readers and posters its not the 'teen and young adults forum' anymore , it's just a muddled up forum. RandomHysterics 10-17-05, 04:32 PM Yeah, I think its alright for adults to be in the teen section also. But as many people have already pointed out, it would lose its purpose if it just became another adult forum, or something of that sort. And as others also had said; adults were teens once in their lives too, so they can give some good input to topics in threads. Crybaby1898 10-17-05, 04:35 PM I guess eveything been going good for awhile. |
