Does anyone ever words their posts?
translation: Does anyone else ever forget words in their posts excessively? (I do this on average at least 1 to 2 words a sentence)
I do all the time, I always read my posts over before submitting them, but sometimes even after that I find myself rereading something that I posted and I'll forget quite a few words....I just think its amusing b/c in my head I typed the word, even though I really didn't...
just wondering if anyone else does this excessively?

Yes andiemedic....
I do keep leaving words out of my sentences... and i also put words, in the wrong way round...
for an example : 'fence brown' instead of 'brown fence'
So, i read through my posts a couple of times, then edit where neccesary before i post it..
Karen.

I have similar issues. I am thinking of being tested for dyslexia. My father has it.. and since being on adderall I have noticed more of these types of issues. i wonder if the add had been masking other things. I am going to have my 10 year old daughter tested for ADD and math LD. unfortunately she exhibits many of the traits I did that I used to get in trouble for, well I still do :)
^Another who forgets words often. :faint:

Not knowing Any Adults with ADHD and having No social life ; I really enjoy the time i spend on here ; I feel like i belong somewhere! lol
The more i read about other people, the more i recognise myself...
... Now i stop, to read what i've typed and edit where i've missed words out! LOL
Karen
By the way... is there a chat room anywhere here at the Forums?
:)

Yeah, I forget words (actually I don't forget them -- I think them but fail to type them or occasionally reverse them). This is especially true when my meds are wearing off and/or if I'm real tired or stressed. Funny thing was I never realized I did that until recently. Maybe I just didn't catch my mistakes before.
I also have trouble in verbal conversations coming up with a specific word, even if it's a simple word I'm real familiar with. We won't even get into how many words other people say that I totally miss.

yes, there is a chat room. at the top of the screen you will see a menu bar: user cp; faq; members list; calendar; CHAT; new posts; search; quick links; log out.
the quick links is great for checking to see who is online and who is in chat.
and on the subject of forgetting words: my trouble is finding the words; getting them from my brain to my tongue....or, getting the concept to form into a word. must be sometimers.... :o

I always get letters in word backward and some time I have made other memebrs upset with me because I leave out little words that would have made my response sound the intended nicely.

Thanks Scattered.
Forgetting, or not finding words when I'm talking is one of those really iritating things I tend to do. More when I'm tired. My filing system was created using swahilli, or perhaps fortran or cobal. At any rate sometimes things just aren't where they should be. (Sure, they pop up 15 minutes later.....) Just one of those annoying things. Don't think I leave out words in my typing, (but then I type with 4 fingers) but I do have to go back and re-read. Sometimes things just don't 'sound' the way I meant them.
Wordprocessing has been one of the BEST inventions in my lifetime! Now I can go back and get things the way I want them without having to re-write the whole page! How many of the rest of you remember having to re-write whole pages when teachers required things written "IN INK" ? ( Yes, there was a time before erasable pen, white out and word processing. Think there were dinosaurs there too.:) )

I forget words a lot. I go through the alphabet and try every sound I can think of until I remember. Which will end up being 5 minutes later when I no longer need to use it.
