Hi All, I had a question about Adderall XR. I just started today at 10 mg. I weaned myself off of Strattera, taking the last pill last week. I was taking it for a month and a half, and started having some side effects that were less than appealing. Anyhow, I know that Stratterra takes awhile to get into your system, but it's not supposed to be the same with Adderall XR is it? I was hoping to feel more focused, and I can honestly say that I think I was for about an hour, so I guess my real question is, is their a chance that it could be more effective tomorrow?

Sure, there's a chance. Since Adderall has such a short half-life, though, I think it sounds like you may be on too low a dose. If I remember right, 10mg is the smallest dose XR comes in, and the maximum prescribed dose is 40mg/day. If so, you're on a relatively low dose.

What I would do in this situation is ask friends if they notice any difference in you. I've gotten some great feedback from my best friend! She pointed out things I never noticed. Without her input, I could have never recognized this improvement.
