hay all this is my first day and i dont no much about all of the things on here so if theres any part that you like the best tell me so i can check it out but i have turned from a newbie to an ADDvanced member just in a few hours and still dont no alot so if you can please help

Me, I tend to visit sections like Adderall, University/College, ADDult since those sections pertain to me more than others.

the only pepole i acually no is andi and andrew but i do have 1 quesion and that is why is it that when i try to focuss on school i always wind up focussing on what i want to focuss on....and that is with the meds i take!!

I'm on Strattera and I've found that I can focus for long periods of time on my school work as long as I force myself. If I have a lot of distractions or let my mind wonder for just a second it takes me hours to get back on track.

So, we built me a corner in our room. It contains the computer desk, computer and school books, the walls are painted white and there are no more pictures of the kids, posters, calanders, etc around to catch my eye.

When my mind starts to wonder I just give myself a verbal butt chewing...NOW Cherity Back on task NOW. Sounds stupid I know but I literally have to force myself to study. My doctor is looking into trying a different med in a couple weeks but we want to make sure the Strattera is in full effect to give it the benefit of the doubt.

Have you tried re-evaluating where and how you do your homework?
Where is the most comfortable spot to do your homework?
Do you have music playing?
Is there heavy traffic in the area? people walking by, etc
Do you have a light snack before you start studying?
