Today I had my appointment with a psychiatrist for ADD. He asked a question I didn't even think of. He asked if I ever get tired in class. I told him that of course, I was just falling asleep in a class the day before. Not just dozing off, but so tired I couldn't stop from dozing off.
Why can't it be that easy to fall asleep at night? Come to think of it, I've always slept in classes, going back to high school. I even remember one teacher asking me a question (knowing I was asleep) and I blurted out newspaper as I was dreaming something of the sort. Anyway, I'd bet that some of you or most of you can relate.

Oh yah definitely. I always found that even though I was so darn tired in the morning...it wasn't until after lunch time that I would fall asleep. It was like a cycle. Go to school really tired, having hard time to get out of bed at first....eat lunch...get all hyper...drain energy...fall asleep in class....get all hyper again...drain energy again....get sensitive to room temperatures easily....get all hyper going home....drain energy again after dinner....can't sleep at all....lol
A really intelligent man told me once at a company that I used to work for that he believed that if all ADD'ers ate sushi or some kind of fish for breakfast and then breakfast for dinner, they would wake up and focus more in the morning and daytime and sleep a helluva lot better at night. It was an interesting point. He knew I had ADD and he was the founder of this place. He was very sweet and always understood what I was going through. I wonder if he had it....*shrugs* but anyways, that made sense what he said...and im rambling....heehee...sorry..:o

I fall to sleep at work all the time...no matter how much coffee I drink or the 2 red-bulls I've polished off...or the amount of sleep I got...which is never a lot cause i don't sleep at night...
I'll be falling to sleep at my desk....every work day...its this on going thing...i have to get up and walk around and clean or something just to stay away...
and even though i'm always moving my legs or twitching my fingers...or whatever else....i just can't for the life of me stay awake....
wish it would happen at night i get about 5-6 hours MAX of sleep at nigh and thats with the waking up never getting to that deep lovely sleep people talk about all the time ..i went to bed the other night at 9pm cause i was so tired woke up at 3:30am and cleaned then stayed awake till 12am ... felt the same...makes no difference...lovely times :)

My AD/HD friend swears up and down that a 2p-10p shift is the BEST for an Add'er. Idk...I've never tried it personally, but I think I'll give it a shot..
