View Full Version : i think that Einstein had ADD
OxgenThief6005 08-31-05, 07:22 PM I think that Einstein had ADD, i know that seems true seeing that his hair was all crazy and sticking his tounge out in random pictures. I dont know if that is proff but then again i have crazy hair.
Anyone else know of any "famous" people with ADD ?
I also knew that that dude from Extreem Home Make Over had ADD because i was forwarded some stuid web site trying to sell Adderall because the it worked for the guy,... i think his name is Ty PS > i already use Adderall so i thought i was funny.
i also heard that Nepolin had ADD. any additions to the list would be most awsome.
adhdxyz 08-31-05, 07:28 PM Thanks for noticing my hairdo and my facial expressions. I have always been an "out of the box" thinker. When I was younger I always got in trouble for drawing outside the lines and for coloring trees blue. :)
Crazygirl79 08-31-05, 07:29 PM I've heard quiet a number of theories reagrding Einstein having ADD, but I've also heard that he may have been high functioning autistic/aspergers...but hey who knows...lol, I've also heard that Winston Churchill had ADD too...??I think that Einstein had ADD, i know that seems true seeing that his hair was all crazy and sticking his tounge out in random pictures. His name is Ty Pennington and after watching him on Trading Spaces I now understand!

Ahem....:D
Considering the one who posted that thread is highly ADHD...she forgot all about it, and JUST posted another one, which lists some famous people with ADD...
Don't be too hard on me guys !!!
And you're absolutely right, McCoffee...Edison did have ADD...and the theory named after that creative side of his, is The Edison Trait.

Shakedown1979 10-09-05, 10:59 AM Edison, Einstein, Hemingway, Benjamin Franklin in a big way, legendary investor Ben Graham.
Upon my diagnosis, my psychologist suggested a book on the Edison-Einstein thing. Of course, I got about half a chapter in and veered off to another place. Go figure! lol
Anyway, I veered off when the author was discussing Nikola Tesla. I laughed at how furious he became over the lack of Mr. Edison adhering to time constraints and skipping around on various projects. I ended up reading another book about Mr. Tesla and don't even remember what I did with the Edison book. Ooooppsss!
On a side note: I absolutely love Ben Franklin. I want to party with that guy!
Chronomancer 10-17-05, 11:37 AM As a histroian i say that is possible. Einstein was highly distracted and didnt do well when his interest wasn't engaged in a class. His tendancy towards visual thinking is also a cule. The problem is we cant test him.
As a histroian i say that is possible. Einstein was highly distracted and didnt do well when his interest wasn't engaged in a class. His tendancy towards visual thinking is also a cule. The problem is we cant test him.In a sense we can... Einstein had more glial cells. ADD has more gray matter which may in turn need more glial cells ;-) The area that was tested is the same area in ADD that shows more gray matter. Notice area "39"
Eintein's brain:

Some studies have shown more "white matter" in parts of his brain...but that may be indicative that he was also High Functioning Autism....
Chronomancer 10-18-05, 03:50 PM I stand corrected. oh how i do like proof. I did know his brain had been preserved or studied.
