Adderal makes me want to go to sleep. Am I that weird ?

maybe you need sleep?

On my prescription bottles for both Adderall XR and IR, it says "May cause drowsiness or dizziness." The ingredients in the drug make some patients drowsy or dizzy... or else they wouldn't stamp that disclaimer on the bottle.

That's my two cents anyway. Anyone else?

It is easier to focus on sleep when your mind isn't going a million miles an hour. With any stimulant for me, I sleep better. Maybe your mind knows that and wants to catch up lol

I wouldn't say it's "normal" in the sense that it happens to most people, but it's certainly not unusual.

adderall made me crash like a train. every day i came home from work i had to retire to my coffin like the good vampire i am...no seriously, it was disturbing to miss out on so much every evening w/ my son and husband. i only have a few hours a night after work that i can spend time with them and it was upsetting that i needed to sleep so badly after work...
so i tried to supplement my sleep at my lunch hour. that doesn't work out too well.
i decided to finally get off adderall.
i now notice how little i can pay attention to conversations that i'm not interested in, such as the stupid customers that talk for 30 min. or more at my job.
but i needed to quit b/c of the tiredness factor and headaches every single day and then the feeling of nausea all the time. rather unpleasant.
my doc said i wasn't taking enough but i decided i want to have a baby anyway so i might as well get off of it and not bother figuring out the 'perfect' dose..
