Hei guys, thanks for the replies on my last post. This last semester in college, I've been looking at ADD from a different perspective. I have a hard time concentrating on tasks, but when I do concentrate I can take it to a deeper level. My knowledge of the material for a test I took was just as good or less than the rest of the class, yet even though I was the last one taking it, I got the highest grade. Many of this questions were about applying the concept. When I was reading the questions I'm taking my time to think more deeply about the alternatives and co-relating concepts learned to the examples on the test and what the teacher is looking for. This has repeated itself many times in my life. I might be slow to accomplish tasks, but I believe I think more in depth than most people. I really don't think ADD is a disability, is just that we think with a different side of our brain, or we just think differently. I also believe we can use this to our advantage in problem solving and creativity. I encourage you all to reflect about using your way of thinking for your own advantage and to help others. Still, we need find ways to 'concentrate' in order to put our 'great advantage' to practice. After all, we are the ones that will eventually save the world ;).

Of course we're smarter than the rest. That's why I'm so over school. ****ing stupid school. If I wanted to be a sheep, I'd go to sheep school. Or whereever they teach you to be a sheep.

I'm over it, I'm way above 99% of people but no one can see it.

easy does it, man..you are no better than anyone. And neither am I. We can think we are better, but what's the point, honestly, your just wasting your time. Thinking as life like some sort of competition in every aspect of your day would lead to everyone eventually passing you up, b/c you could not see what was truly important in life. What you learn, and how you apply your knoweledge is all that counts to a human being, such as yourself.

DreamSound, I understand very well your point of view. I consider myself as quite smart and I know that I have this ability to see things differently. I was used to think that it is ADD-related but I’m no longer sure about that. The fact is that there are also “dumb” adders… Possibly, more smart adders get diagnosed than not so smart one. People encourage you to continue because “you are so smart!” and you fail and fail again until you ask yourself what’s wrong. <O:p</O:p

Now, I see ADD as a true disability. I don’t care that ADD has been useful for something in prehistoric time. In modern world, ADD is a disability. The fact that I can’t do what I want with my brain and when I want is a serious weakness. Sorry if it sound negative.<O:p</O:p
