Am I the only one that has done this?

I have overflow problems.

Things just overflow around me :(

I think it is that I get bored watching things fill so I wander off.
I hate to wait in lines too.

In any event, letting things overflow is one of the most evident sign of my ADD problems.

You usually can't hide a big mess that is caused by an overflow.

I have let the following things overflow.

- a 1,000 gallon tank [while working at a mine];
- the bath tub;
- sinks;
- portable water containers;
- gas tanks/fuel tanks
[this last one really gets people angry and can cause lots of damage].

Has anyone else done this?

I have done it many times. :mad: :mad: :mad:

I am hoping the Ritalin will help.

Interestingly enough. I never do that.
I also tend to be on-time for appointments. I rarely (never, really) miss appointments.

Me :D

I too rarely miss appointments but sometimes am rushed to get to them.

However, I often leave doors open or unlocked and overfill things.... even my glass of milk every so often.

My most common overflow problem is when I wander off and forget I put a pot on to boil, so it overflows all over the stove.

I've come close to overflowing bathtubs and sinks, but so far the little drainage hole in the side near the top has saved me.:)

I also overflow pots that I'm washing in the sink because I wander off and leave the water on so that all the soap washes out before I get to clean it.

The only way I can avoid overflow is to stay right there with what I'm doing.
If I walk away then I'll forget and won't get back to it in time.

I've been known :rolleyes: to be so distracted with thought that I walk off and leave the sink faucet running after washing my hands. I flooded the bathroom pretty good just before I was diagnosed...I went for help because I decided I was dangerous to the bathroom tile.

I also have issues with filling coffee cups :faint:

Oh my, coffee -- that's probably my most common overflow -- not pouring the cup but making the coffee. I have a capacinno machine and you have to stop in part way so there is water left to steam the milk. I always forget and leave it on too long and have watery coffee. I've had to start over two and three times in a row in the same morning.:rolleyes: Of course that was before meds -- not I don't have get to have my morning coffee anymore.

I dont have a case of overflow, but I do have a case of "burn."

That is- I put something on the stove or in the toaster oven, walk off and forget about it only to smell a peculiar burning smell and run screaming back into the kitchen 20 mins later...:p

I have the same overflow issues as Scattered, except for the coffee (only cuz I don't drink it).

But I think I'm the Anti-Burn to tinkerbelle's Burn. I run around in the morning getting ready, going back into the bathroom to use the curling iron that's been heating up -- only to find out that though I've plugged it in, I've neglected to turn it on.
