I'm currently prescribed short term 20 mg Adderall and Seroquel. The seroquel works wonders for sleeping. I'm an insomniac and was before I started the adderall. I don't like it because the hangover last for a couple hours and it's horribly expensive. Trazadone didn't work but for 70% of the nights and the hangover was worse than the seroquel but didn't last as long. Just wondering if anyone else has heard of this combination and their thoughts on it.

It's interesting that they'd prescribe a strong stimulant such as Adderall as well as a sedative for sleep, but as you said, they prescribed the sedative first. The combination is, as my GP once said, "like stepping on the gas and the brake at the same time," but if your doctor prescribes it, and it works, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. If you're worried about side effects or anything like this, I recommend asking your pharmacist.
My personal view is that it is an interesting and somewhat unorthodox combination, but I'm in no position to second-guess your doctor.
It's interesting that they'd prescribe a strong stimulant such as Adderall as well as a sedative for sleep, done all the time look at all the Dr's that give benzos with ADD meds .
