I am 18 years old and have ADD and my mom is having a hysterectomy, I kind of worry cause i still get hyper sometimes, and i sometimes can not do home chores alone, I need coaching a lot of times or ask questions when I do my own laundry. Then I also worry for my mom cause she has a blood disease and sometimes there is the worry of her bleeding too much when they are doing the surgery or after. My mom is 45 years old and having the hysterectomy done October 10th. Me I also have Epilepsy and autism too. Sometimes worry about my stepdad forgeting to give me my meds, I might have to remind him or else I might have to do it myself but how would I, hard for me to do things all myself.
Good thing is my mom is going to let me get a kitten sometime before she has to have surgery. I already got 2 cats, a dog and a fish and so once I get this kitten I will have 3 cats. One of my friends is going to be coming up for the days my mom is in the hospital.

girl its okay everthing is okay. look the time your mother is in the getting that done to her on those days get a calender and write down what you need to take and how much you need to take. and you or your father need to look at that thing everyday. maybe this will help. Good luch with your mother and i pray that everything is going to be okay.

Wisconsin Girl Good Luck to your Mom with her surgery.
Let us know how she's doing afterward.
Do you have a name picked out for the new kitten yet?

My mom says what she is going to do is put the am medicine in baggies, and put it a.m. in one bag and p.m. in the other so people can give me the meds I need. I just asked her how I am going to get my meds and she told me that is how she is going to do it.

No have not picked a name out yet, am still thinking, be easier when to see the kitty, but when I got my other cats it took some time thinking of names too.

Wisconsin Girl,
FYI, I merged two of your threads that were very similar. I tried to combine your initial posts as well. If I did something wrong with this, PM me to make changes.

You have extremely sophisticated and great preferences in animal there (the humble Felis sylvestris catus AKA domestic cat) :D

Huhhh what were we talking about managing the ADD while mom gets surgery????? They have those little pills containers in the pharmacy that have dividers for up to four times a day for a week at a time....
The chores your mom could wite list of things that need to be done. She can divide the list into daily things, then weekly ect this way you won't get anxious worrying about forgetting some thing......
