I know about CHADD and went to a national meeting.

I've heard that there is an ADDA meeting coming in Missouri.

What other organizations are there that people know of or have participated in?

I am becoming more interested in restarting a group in St. Louis, but before I put the effort in to do it, I want to know more about what organizations are available, and peoples experiences with them.

Thanks!

CHADD- (Children and Adults with attention deficit disorder) http://www.chadd.org and ADDA (Atttention Deficit Disorder Association) http://www.add.org are the 2 major organization in the US.

I am a member of both. I have recently become very invloved working with ADDA. It is a great organization. ADDA's main focus is on adults with AD/HD.

ADDA is growing as an organization is will be offering more services to its members. They are re-doing their website which should be up soon. They will also be offering Tele-Classes to its members with experts like Sari Solden.

As an adult with AD/HD I think it makes more sense to become part of an existing organization like ADDA. You could always start an Adult AD/HD support group and get the support of ADDA too.
