Excuse me guys.

What do you call that thing that makes the TV louder and changes the channels?
Do you ever know where yours is?

Can you teach me how to work it? LOL

I like to leave the remote on top of the TV when I'm not using it. That makes sense to me....TV = Remote, right? I mean, the TV is easy to find; if you look at it you'll find the remote. The only way to lose the remote then is to lose the TV.

My wife does not agree.

That's ok, though, because I rarely get a chance to use the remote anyway....unless it is to change the TV to something my wife or kids want to watch. Not that I really care....I'll watch anything that's on. Remember way back when we were kids, and they had the test pattern with the Indian head in the center? I could stare at that for hours.

I call it a "remote control" or a "remote." Sometimes I call it the "squeezer" or the "clicker" or "clickerbox" or sometimes the "buttonbox" depending, though, heh. "Squeezer" used to be the common word in my household, but it's been replaced, it seems, with "remote."

I normally can't find the thing unless it's in plain view, not common when home with the family.

it's a remote. my tv has two. because the tv and the dvd player are the same brand, and the dvd remote has tv buttons on it. however, the plain tv remote doesnt have dvd buttons on it.

they are BOTH ontop of the tv (mum keeps putting them there). i would prefer to have them on the coffee table, what's the point of a remote if you have to get up and go to the tv to use it?

i asked why it cant be there, she said "it gives me the willies" and i laughed.

"Remote control"? Y'all are a sophisticated bunch. How about the button thingy?

On top of the TV? That kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it? :)

Pushing buttons is not my strong point, doing it correctly or remembering how to is even harder.

We have the tv, the dvd, the cd player, the stereo, the telephone....ever try to adjust the volume with the telephone?! Or answer the phone with the...you know...button pushing thingy.

Too many, too different to keep any of them straight.

Ultimately ours ends up between the cushions of which chair.....have to check them all. They have ended up in different rooms and even in the toy box with the remote driven cars.

Maybe this is not an adhd man thing.
