also, how does one know if you are ODing on a prescribed drug?

I have to take dexedrine along strattera to keep me awake. It work quite well but dexedrine is a bit too much stimulant. I'm going to ask for modafinil next time I see my doc.

There's only one sensible answer to both questions: ASK YOUR DOCTOR.

About the night-time dosing, yes some people do this but again, ASK YOUR DOCTOR FIRST.

If you are taking your prescribed dosage, it is not likely that you are overdosing per se, but you could be sensitive to the drug. Therefore, you need to consult with your prescribing physician. Nobody here can solve this one for you I'm afraid.

I take 40 mg in the morning and 40 mg at night. It's help for sleepiness.

Um...you could just be in need of getting used to being "slower". Strattera slows you down, but for some people, it's weird, especially at first. I remember my first month on Strattera, and I went for naps, slept 13 hours/night, etc. I couldn't handle being able to concentrate my thinking, and I think I got tired because of it.

I'm back to my usual self now, only more focused. It's really really weird to me still. I can sit and think about one thing at a time...whoa..

Who is prescribing this stuff to you then, and why are you taking it without knowing what it does? Whoever is prescribing this to you should be able to give you the asnwers you need.

This is a bit off topic but I can agree but when I forget to take sraterra for one day the first day off it my ADD hits ADHD in seconds I am a complete phyco suffering from lack of sleep and Randomness. I belive it calms you that is why you are sleepy.
