I have been struggling with endometriosis since I was 16. I can't take birth control pills. I recently took the depoprovera shot, and it has been horrible!! I have never experienced mood swings like this. I am going to try the nuvaring next, I currently take adderall. Does anyone know if a particular stimulant works better for women with PMDD? My obgyn thinks that if we find the right hormones, the anxiety, moods swings, etc will not be as bad. My medicine doesn't even work properly when I'm about to start. After reading previous threads, I see this is common. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

The best thing I can say to this is everyone process the meds differently. What works for us may be worse for you. Female hormones and ADD do not mix well. I'm still inattentive before my periods on Concerta, but generally fine the rest of the time. i don't know I've seen suggestions that you may just need a higher dose through those days but that needs to be discussed with the DR. Unfortunately it's a try and see game for most of us.

I had endometriosis and cervical and ovarian cancer.I was told that I would probably never have babies.
Well, two babies later.....I started having trouble again and my new OBGYN suggested a supracervical hysterectomy.I did it and it changed my life!!!!
Thats just me though.I was done having babies and such.
When I had my girlie parts I had terrible periods and my meds would not work during them!My hormones totally overpowered them!It was so frusterating.I totally feel for you and maybe you should see about having a increase of meds during those times.Good luck to you!
