Strattera is not like the stimulants. It's affect works over a long period of time. so when you take it won't affect it's effectiveness. For me the problem has been the side effects. Strattera makes me too drowsy to drive if I take it in the morning, so I just take it before bed. Not everyone is affected this badly tho', so it's up to each person to decide what's going to work best for them.

Try different times yourself and pick which one works the best. Everyone is different. The best thing
What starting dose did you get prescribed? How long at this dosage? If the side effects are strong, try taking it before bed and sleep through them.
I have tried all types of combinations and times. Currently I take 50mg in the morning and 25mg around noon. Seems to work pretty well for me
A lot of people quit, because they dislike the side effects. If you get bad side effects, try to reduce the dose for awhile. It will take some time for it to become active and effective in your system. Try to stick it out.

I'm taking Zoloft 50mg in the morning, so I figure to just take my stratterra 18mg. in the morning as well. This way, I don't have to worry about taking any meds later in the day.

I'm on my 5th day for Straterra and I've only taken it before I go to sleep. I haven't tried taking it in the morning because my doc recommended I take it at night.
The only complaint I have about taking it at night is the common side effect for beginners, the waking up at the middle of the night.
