Hey does anyone take both? I take Methylin for ADHD but was just prescribed Wellbutrin for Anxiety. And I don't get it-- doesn't Wellbutrin CAUSE anxiety? can anyone who has been on it attest one way or another? I'd like to know before I start taking it, because if it's not something that treats anxiety then why in the world should I take it? Thanks!!

I am taking 150 mg of WB XL for depression and Adderall for my ADHD. I tried 300 mg of WB, but just could not handle that high of dosage. I have not had any increased anxiety except on the 300 mg and it more of a nerveous feeling than anxiety attack.

I found that with my expierence with WB that is did cause anxiety. It also caused me to become angry. My Dr. then added Lexapro to help with the anxiety. I wan able to feel the effects in a few days.

Unforunatly the WB has not hellped my ADD. I have just started Concerta. So at this moment I am on 15mg of Lexapro, 300Mg of WB SR and 36mg of Concerta. I think the plan is to get rid of the WB if the concerta works.

I do know that a lower dose of WB can lessen Anxiety but most of the posts that I have read says it can increase Anziety. You may want to ask your DR about something else for the Anziety along with the WB. This is because the WB can help nulify some of the negative side effects of a medicatin like Lexapro.

For instance most SSRI's cause some sort of sexual disfunctoin. Alot of DR's are adding WB into the mix because in a lot of paitents it has the opposite effect, which helps lessen the side efects.
