Does anyone else get those days where you just wake up really grumpy. Everyone annoys you and you can't hold a conversation without it turning into an argument. I'm trying not to be grumpy and snappy and horrible but I can't seem to snap out of it. I tried going back to bed and getting up on the other side but that didn't work.

Damn straight I have days like this.

Sometimes I have a reason... i.e. I had my heart set on something, a TV show, some time alone, whatever, and circumstance has denied me what I wanted.

Sometimes I'm just plain grumpy.

I hear ya.

Oh my gosh, YES!! I remember being called "grumpy-pants" and "gripey-butt" as a child. Mornings are awful, unless I can get up when I feel like it. But the world likes to operate when the sun's up. I like to operate my world when the sun's down.... I still wake up in some FOUL moods, but luckily, I have at least a 30 minute commute, and I usually am able to regain a hospitable temperment by the time I get to work--usually. Thankfully, the people around whom I work are awesome...they can usually tell when I'm coming in surfing a foul wave...they're very understanding. And then soon I'm over it, and we're all happy happy people! (or as happy as I can be at a job that's wrong for me).

Thanks for starting such an EXCELLENT thread!

YES..and always for one of two reasons:

People aren't doing what I want them to be doing OR

circumstances aren't as I would like them to be..........

Gratitude lists sometimes help.....

OR then what happens is.....I go out of the house and not two seconds goes by and I see someone with no legs in a wheelchair (or something like that).....

and I'm reminded it's a good day -- really

and I've got nothing to be grumpy about:D

Yep. sometimes it feels justified (grins from all the alanons) but that just tells me something about my self.

tolerance is low. sometimes because of me, I'm tired, etc., sometimes becuase of really unfair things, that stimulate the incredible hulk rectification and revenge monster.

I originally posting some text inside greater than less than sings and it disappeared on posting! yikes!

I'm glad it's not just me. My hubby was asking, "What's wrong with you?" and I just cried and said I didn't know. I know I'm being silly but I can't help it.
