I wanted to see if anyone has similar symptoms that my 6yo son is having on strattera. His behavior at school has greatly improved however the teachers are now informing us of his daily complaining that he feels sick and his head hurts. They also say that he doesn't seem himself. At home we have noticed "night terrors" that he says he does not remember. He also complains that noises are bothering him in the sense that things are too loud and he insists that he feels like he is having a heart attack...scary stuff. I noticed he has an increased heart rate as well. When he asked me today to take him to the hospital it made me very worried. The symptoms seem to be happening early morning and late evening before bed. Not sure if he is the only one having these symptoms. Thanks for listening.

Call your doctor first thing tomorrow morning and get your son in to the office. Explain to the receptionist exactly what is going on. There was a recent warning released for Strattera and by what you described this is not something to take lightly. The Strattera site will have more information on the new warning.

The only person qualified to give advice to the questions you posted, is a medical professional. I am not blowing you off, just letting you know this is too complicated for the forums.

Let us know what happens and feel free to post in the future.

My daughter had some chest pains when she was on the strattera that after all the testing at the doctors office we were finally able to link to Caffiene in her diet. She now only drinks non caffiene drinks. and that seems to have helped.
