Okay, so I was talking to this girl in one of my classes today, and I asked her about getting a part-time job at the university library. She works part-time at the library shelving books, and she told me it was a really easy minimum wage job. She told me to just go upstairs to the top floor and ask for an application. I asked her if there were any GPA requirements, and she said no. So I went and got the application, and when I looked at it...not only was there a spot to fill in your cumulative GPA, they also had # of A's and # of D's and F's. Now, given that I flunked all of my classes last semester (and have also gotten bad grades before this incident), I guess I won't be applying for any jobs in the "University Library System" any time soon. Do you think they hire people based on grades? And what about B's and C's? Do they not count for anything? Apparently not in the eyes of those at the university library. I can't even get a simple minimum wage job shelving books because of my academic history? What is up with that?
