Wheel1975 09-28-03, 02:00 AM I wonder if you now recall my suggestion, in a very polite and conciliatory post, that a discusion as I proposed might better be suited in a different venue? Also Do I understand from the last post in the thread, that you propose that "longitudinal" means, in experimental psyc. and as a technical term there, reliable and validated rather than being a descriptor of the time frame of the experiment in quesion? Your assistance in these matters of my confusion would be appreciated. Most sincerely, David Tara 09-28-03, 10:33 AM mctavish23 began a thread in the diagnosis/treatment area of the parents of children with AD/HD area. His post was in the correct area as he was trying to offer support to parents who have children with AD/HD. Others made replies to his thread and from what I observed had nothing to do with being a parent of an child with AD/HD who was looking for support or somebody who was trying to offer support to a parent. When thinking about replying to threads please look to see what forums and subforums the threads are in before replying. If your reply has nothing to do with the forum the orginal thread is in please begin a new thread in a more appropriate forum. mctavish23 09-28-03, 11:17 AM David, I owe you an apology for that.So thank you for trying to point me in the right direction.Hopefully, as times goes by we can get to know each other better. As far as the definitions go, many (but certainly not all), come from A Psychiatric Glossary, published by the American Psychiatric Association. It's available in most all major book stores. The other sources I often refer to include ADHD and clinical psych texts and journal articles. I appreciate your candor and interest in the subject matter. Thanks again. Wheel1975 09-28-03, 02:03 PM Tara, Thank you. however i need education here. If I wish to "reply" to someone (which will mean they are notified of the post) but also start a new thread in another area, how are those two things accomplished? Wheel1975 09-28-03, 02:12 PM Doc McTavish, I've noticed that posting during the wee hours of the day leads frequently to increasingly eccentric circles traced by the ADHD participants. The ADD just seem to shut down and withdraw. Tolerance, which I need extended to me in abnormally high amounts due to my being ADHD is frequently helpful for me to extend, wherever possible to others with ADHD. Wee hours have tended to run my supply out. I apologize for the quickness with which I took offense and the vigor with which I pursued what I perceived as your transgression of me. Late hours produce what late hours produce. I'd think I'd "know better" by now. I look forward to the opportunity to start better again. I was allowing myself to be blocked for the pursuit of a one step solution. My error. Thanks. Andrew 09-28-03, 02:44 PM Never a problem...Just ask :) mctavish23 09-28-03, 05:59 PM Wheel, thanks man.NP dude. We're cool.I'm enjoying your feedback and feel more comfortable here.TC. Wheel1975 09-28-03, 06:39 PM For a rough start it seems to be turning the corner doesn't it? I'm enjoying your input as well. :) Thanks. |
