How many of you have ever experienced the embarassing situation of blurting something out, knowing the instant that you said it that it was the wrong thing to say? You would think that an ADD brain, operating faster than the mouth, should be able to catch something like that, but disinhibition is one of those traits that seems to haunt many with ADD.:o

I sometimes do that when talking....I seem to have tendency to offend more people when I write than when I talk though.

A lot of the time I over analyse what I want to say when I'm talking and don't often say anything at all. I do a lot better in one on one conversations than in group settings.

Ummmmm....that never happens to me...NOT!
There are days I wonder if it would be easier to just leave my foot there.

Ok, because I am so socially adept, charming, sparkling and always on my mark...........(gag) I only have one story that comes to mind, yet its a good one.

I was living in Ocean City and I was alone with my daughter Samantha that easter. She was about 3 or 4 and absolutely adorable and sweet. I saw that the Easter Bunny was going to be at one hotel with a festival type idea behind it. So I dressed her up in her second hand dress ( which she made look like it cost a million) and we walked to the hotel. Once there I realized that the main event was a mother-daughter fashion show of the most ridiculous and uncomfortable looking Easter outfits possible. Being of strong opinion, I backed out to the lobby to wait til time for the bunny where an older distinguished looking Italian gentleman and his equally handsome wife sat. He looked familiar but I couldnt place him and we said polite Hellos. Being quite a nice man he commented on how beautiful Samantha was and how nice a child she seemed etc. He said "Aren't you going to enter your daughter in the contest?" I thought of this, I hated childrens fashion shows, my daughter in her poor second hand dress walking down an aisle full of rich children and their mothers in matching attrocities and disdainfully snooted"Oh now, I just think the exploitation of children is awful" as I looked up into his face and realized who he was---Al Alberts, the king of Sunday morning child variety shows and child fashion show host.Always on I said calmly-"Oh hey, um I didnt uh man, realize, oh man......"

lol...awww. Nice recovery though :D

I did again just a little while ago when I was monitoring our servers little lag issue. It went back to normal and in the support forum I posted about it.. 10 seconds later we were lagging again.. ;)

ohhh yesss that has happened to me alot. I tend to stay quiet now rather than speak my mind and it all come out wrong.

Guilty as Charged!!!.......I think being ADD and also being a Sagitarrius doesnt help matters...we tend to speak the truth, even when the truth isnt necessary or could be harmful....so, needless to say..Ive learned to like the taste of leather!! lol

Been there done that way to many times. And it always seems to be at the most akward of times. And you would think being a Libra I would weight every statment out of my mouth..lmbo

I only take my foot outa my mouth to eat now,saves me trying to be tactful........always thought it was just a female thing,lol
