It's pretty windy here right now. I'm typing this on my laptop, with my cable modem and switch being powered by a UPS. speedo 11-13-05, 08:46 PM I have a transistor radio that I can run on my ups for days. I also have some white led lamps that can make light for many hours on my UPS. I have two 1KVA UPS here... ME :D What do you do when the power fails? Andrew 11-13-05, 10:01 PM When power goes out, I daisy-chain 3 UPSs together william tell 11-13-05, 11:10 PM you can try a poor mans backup generater ,but you must live in a house or at least have a balconey ,take any gas powered generator and back feed your electric panel ,shuting off the main before you start up the motor -the bigger the generator the more circuits you can leave on ,but at least you can run the refrig. and some heat if nessasary Gil R 11-15-05, 08:39 AM I just call the power company when the power goes out because A. There is nothing i can do about it because i dont have a UPS 2. There may be a pole down in the neighborhood D. they need to know |
