Do most people struggle to sit down and start a project? I am sitting on my computer claiming that I am doing it when all I have written is one sentance.

I can't start I have even gone played piano and all the other random stuff that I do.

Are you reading my mind? :p

I have a ton of trouble starting. That has to be the biggest challenge for me since I'm such a procrastinator. Luckily, I have my loving mom to help me and sometimes, dad. I only start by myself if it's interesting. For example, I have a religion project. We have to re-write a story in the Old Testament and make it sound more modern. I love writing, so I've started on this project just yesterday. It's so much fun to write about, and I think I might finish by next week :) (it's due Dec. 15).

Here are a few things that help me out when I have trouble starting:
~I get my parents involved. They don't have ADD, which helps, so they help me get my ideas out of my head and onto paper.
~Work with other people. If it's a group project, you all divide the responsibilities equally, and it's fun :D
~Pace yourself. If you procrastinate (like I do at times :rolleyes: ), set goals every day. It won't seem as big, and before you know it, you'll be done.

These are the times when you just tell yourself to do it. I have a strategy, that should work for anyone.

Rebel against all the negative thoughts in your mind about doing the stupid project. So...you find yourself doing it for no reason-but hey you are doing it, right?

Rebel against something you hate (your negative thoughts)! Let your feelings guide you.

I have actually tested this=try it, if you can't think of anything better.

Remember, the positive will always outweigh the negative. Look on the bright side. Just do it.

yeah that happens to me.usually i just cant do the project and im stitting staring at my pc and i end up doing it at breaktime be4 the lesson its due and sometimes i wake up at 3:00am to finish it and end up being exhausted..lol
