Today, I talked to my History professor in the hall before class. I asked where I am in class in regards to my grade he told me I would be lucky if I got a D. Oh, no I cant do this class again. I need a C for my education department. Know I am upset dont feel like putting in the effort for class. I will but I wish he would have been more encouraging.

I talked to the head of the education department today because I wanted to know how it would effect my education application. I showed him the quiz well he wants to show it to his staff. what should I do. How do you study for History. Thanks Chris:foot: :faint: :(

Hm, history... I'll have to admit, as a high-school senior I've currently stopped taking history classes myself :o. So, my recollection on how to learn that class may be less than clear.

But, let's see here... it all depends vastly on what you need to remember. Remembering and understanding the story, for me, is a relatively simple matter of reading up on the events and sympathising with the people in the situation. My hardest part in History is remembering all of those arbitrary names and dates. So, if only I have could all of them organized on a big timeline I bet it would help. I dunno if I'd have the time for that though *laugh*.

Either way, seeing as I'm a pretty visual learner, it always helps to have some memorable pictures. Researching on Google Image Search thus might help make an imprint.

The crazy thing is that I deliberate these things enthusiastically when I'm helping someone else, but I hardly stop to think about such strategy when it's just to help myself.

Have you considered visiting your school's "students w/disabilities" department? Most colleges and universities have them.

What they will do is first establish with documentation that you have a specific disability (ADD CERTAINLY qualifies) and second sit down with you do devise accomodations that will help you do your best. You can't get through school without showing what you've learned, and that's usually why ADDer's grades are low, not because they didn't learn it.

Good Luck!

barbyma,

I am through the disability office at the college.
I have never had history in my life.
It is a hard subject for me and the semester and
work is hard and fast pace. I didnt know that when
I began but now I do.
I think i might have to review my quizes for the final.
any other suggestions are appreciated.
