View Full Version : Gay or Lesbian Adults? alyx 11-25-05, 12:38 PM Just curious if there are any other gay or lesbian adults on this site that would like to chat about life? WombatNYC 09-21-09, 01:48 AM Yep, I'm Gay and an Adult on this site. new to this site, and I was wondering the same thing as you. tim Crazygirl79 09-21-09, 02:16 AM There is a GLBT social group on here if either of you want to join it and there is one for women as well but it's only by invitation. I hope this helps? Selena:) ADHDTigger 09-21-09, 08:40 AM People with ADHD come in every flavor there is. Possibly even more so than others as we tend to be more open about such things and are more open generally to experiment. DISCLAIMER, PLEASE NOTE! Words like "generally" and "open" do not mean that all of us are any particular thing. The GLBT group might be a great answer but the Relationships sub-forum might be as well. What I think is important is that you get your needs met and that you dialog with us to let us know what we can improve. Regardless, enjoy the forums and hopefully, you will find ways to get your needs met. fridayschild 09-23-09, 02:37 PM Hello, me too. willwill30 09-23-09, 03:09 PM I'm also gay. :) NekoGirl 09-23-09, 04:34 PM Queer here. Lord, this thread is four years old. I'm a member of the GLBT group... but haven't really been on it as it seems to not get that much traffic. willwill30 09-23-09, 05:58 PM queer here. lmao:D NekoGirl 09-23-09, 06:00 PM ^ Willwill, is Alabama as bad as they say it is? Are you out? willwill30 09-23-09, 07:27 PM ^ Willwill, is Alabama as bad as they say it is? Are you out? Everyone who knows me personally knows that I'm gay, but I don't advertise it to strangers. Alabama is just like any other state, urban/suburban areas will be more accepting and tolerant, rural areas maybe not as much (I live near the FL panhandle/Pensacola). I doubt it's as bad as most people outside of the South imagine though.;) gunner's mom 09-23-09, 10:50 PM Just curious if there are any other gay or lesbian adults on this site that would like to chat about life? men are so stupid i'm thinking about going lesbian!! lol j/k NekoGirl 09-23-09, 11:11 PM men are so stupid i'm thinking about going lesbian!! lol j/k Yesss... come to the darkside...we have cook... uh... girls? Bobthebuilder 09-29-09, 01:01 AM You know I still joke around about gays... It was a big thing in high school. If someone did something off, or stupid.. Someone would yell out that person's name and then everyone in the class would yell out GAY! This...er ritual?... caught on like a wildfire at my all boys highschool run by religous brothers, and then within 2 years they poured water on the fire by giving out detention. In retrospect, what a terrible immature thing to do. It was mostly done just cause everyone found it funny. I got detention once for yelling out a kids name (man I forgot what he did... but it was something silly and the class found it hilarious.. and I was just trying to fit in). Nice guy, but incredibly feminine... and now that hes in college he came out. Well I still have this gay immaturity humor within my circle of friends... but not in an offensive making fun of other people way, becuase in high school that was just cruel. Anywho to my point People with ADHD come in every flavor there is. Possibly even more so than others as we tend to be more open about such things and are more open generally to experiment. while I don't consider myself bi-sexual, the male anatomy is just... umm icky... females are like art lol. However, I do like a certain sexual aspect that gays participate in... much higher stimulation, and I think most males would enjoy it if they got past the umm intial discomfort, and the social stigmas associated with this act. (I think its clear what I'm talking about here no?) Well one of my friends let his findings on this behavior (made it seem as if he didnt engage in the act though, he just said there were millions of nerve endings up there) known to my other friends... and well for the rest of the year he was made fun of. Well I never talked to him about my similar findings and total agreement with what he said. I just sticked with the majority, kept quiet about my own habits and made a little fun of him to fit in. I'm still good friends with him though, for the most part we just joked around. On another note. I made a post about my incredibly awkward adventure to a fetish gathering and then a fetish club saturday night. Boy did I learn a lot. Really cool group of completely open people, and I wasnt really expecting that. I'm hoping on breaking some of my shyness tendencies with these people, and their openness helps a lot. So relating this to the thread... **** idk. I'm still young @20, and times are a changing. I'm completely open to all kinds of different forms of sexuality, but when it comes to my shyness and my longing to fit in... I just can't be open with my current friends. In addition to that, I mentioned my interest in different fetishes to my friends/co-workers at the pizza place I work at and was made fun of relentlously. Didn't really bother me too much but I mean is everyone like this?? I wish everyone were as open-minded as the people at this fetish club and people with ADD. The world would be a better place. **** i'm rambling....ADD for president lol Any similiar experiences? Crazygirl79 09-29-09, 03:18 AM Bisexual here...no it's not a phase or a state of confusion (I've known since I was 13 or 14 and came out at 19) are there any other bisexual members on here??? Just curious. Selena Bobthebuilder 09-29-09, 03:11 PM Not ever being in a relationship with either, I would put myself as somewhere between straight and bi-curious. I'm open minded, but going through highschool has steered me clear away from the gay porn... but some of my alone-time behaviors definitely suggest a curiosity huckleberry fin 09-30-09, 11:00 AM Gay girl here, came out last year. On the Wender Utah Rating Scale, there's a question for women on whether they were tomboyish growing up. I definitely were and still am. Now, gender and sexual orientation are separate things. However, statistically, many children who are gender deviants grow up to be gay. Is there anyone here who has done any research on this? Are these connected in any way? (I would think not, since feminine bahaviour in not common in men who have ADHD) Or is it only a mislabeling of 'tomboy' (as in, what they really mean is that girls are not active, therefore a hyperactive girl is a tomboy regardless of how they perceive themselves)? derpderp 09-30-09, 01:55 PM I'd say bi-sexual fits the bill best. I know some people don't think someone can be bi, only gay or straight. But in my experience I definitely enjoy both males and females but I'd say I'm sexually intrested in men and with women I'm sexually, emotionally and physically attracted to them. NekoGirl 09-30-09, 03:13 PM ^Oh, what poppycock. The "bi's don't exist!" people drive me nuts, almost as much as the "ADD doesn't exist!" people. Idiots. CrazyGirl, I'm bi, although I tend to be more comfortable with using the term queer, as it's a good all-around fit, as tend towards women, and I'm attracted to gender-fudgers (ie, if I am with a man, I prefer him to be kinda, well, feminine). huckleberry, I don't know of any studies... I know when I was really small, I was a tomboy who liked to dress up pretty. I've always been a bit of both. Still am :) ETA: Bobthebuilder: I wouldn't get too hung up on labels now. I'd say go with what turns you on, what emotionally attracts you. Being around the kink crowd can be a good place for you to explore your sexuality, granted that they're gay-male friendly (some are really open toward women being open, but not men). And you can be bi or gay without ever having experience, just as you can be a straight virgin. Experience only helps to confirm it. Crazygirl79 09-30-09, 06:56 PM Nekogirl: I despise the word queer as it's original meaning is strange, odd, eccentric etc mind you I am all those things but I don't need another label attached to it...LOL Everyone else: Thanks for this enlightening thread, I think some of us 'queers' need support and a different conversation from time to time. Selena chsguy88 10-01-09, 11:02 PM yup, 21 year old and gay. redladybug 10-06-09, 01:09 PM Hi all! I just joined this forum, looking for help about my partner. I think she has ADD, but I'm not sure. I was looking for some help on a lgbt forum, but I though I should post my question on the "non-add partner" forum first. If anyone here could help me, I'd be very grateful. Here's the post: http://www.addforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=793480#post793480 Thanks! wbinaustin 10-15-09, 03:01 AM gay male in Texas...Austin...a blue pool in a large red sate!!!
