are a hazard !!
I bought very cute Holiday stove burner covers. They "had" snowman on them.
Today while making myself some lunch I took off the right front cover and layed it on top of the back burning cover. Put a pan on the burner and turned on the heat.
After a few mins. I smelled a weird burning smell.......
turned on wrong burner, do I have to say any more? :o

I always turn on the wrong burner on my stove b/c the knobs are arranged wrong. It's the knobs, not me :D

I agree with UnleashTheHound it's the knobs not me. LOL
Sorry about your burner cover fasttalkingmom.
If it makes you feel any better that's the reason I never bought burner covers.
I was afraid of doing that. :D
I used to have melmac tableware. For those who don't know, melmac is a hard plastic material made from phoenolic resin....
I was busy working at the computer...
I decided to boil some water to make tea or some thing. I had a melmac dish on the stove that I had used to serve a sandwich on, and I laid it on the back burner and turned the front burner on.
I eventually forgot about it and hours passed (the water never boiled). After HOURS went by I heard a loud *BANG!!* in the kitchen and I walked in to discover tha the melmac plate had heated up and exploded, showering the kitchen with fragments.... I had turned on the back burner by mistake. I only put pots and pans on the stove now... even when it is "off".
ME :D
