I was on Strattera for about a year. Effects were subtle and fell off slowly after each dose increase. Doc is keeping me on strattera but lowering dose from 120mg to 80 (or 40 if I feel jittery) and added 10 mg Adderall XR. I have no experience with stimulants but was expecting someting like super-caffeine.

This is the second day. I'm able to focus like never before - my attention stays where I put it. Unlike my expectations, however, I'm very relaxed and strangely happy and calm inside. I have yawned a lot for hours each morning. This does not seem like a stimulant. I slept 10 hours last night after happily and patiently working at my computer after dinner. This not like me at all. But I like it and hope it lasts.

I know it takes several days before steady state plasma levels are reached. Maybe this is just the ramp-up. My appetite is fine but I am hornier than usual. I checked my bp and it is normal.

Anyone else have similar experiences when starting Adderall?

This is pretty common - I stopped taking antianxiety meds because of Adderall. You don't build up plasma levels with stimulants- this is it! What might happen is that you might stop yawning in a few days. For me, it was Concerta that made me sleepy, Adderall not as much.
