Does anyone know what a TOVA score of -11.75 means? I have been dying to find out since June!

Is this "severe" attention deficit, "minor" attention deficit, "medial.." ... ?

The TOVA doesn't work for dxing ADHD.

Research has consistently shown a high rate of "false negatives".

What that means that 50% of the test subjects who had already been diagnosed with ADHD, passed the test with no problem.

In other words, it said they didn't have ADHD when they really did.

50%= flipping a coin

TOVA scores don't really mean anything. Here's a link to objective information:

There's no reason to think the TOVA was wrong.

The TOVA isn't able to tell one way or the other.

If you were diagnosed by a competent doctor, they didn't do it based just on the TOVA.

The TOVA is inappropriate for dxing ADHD,especially when used by itself.

Test scores don't diagnose ADHD.

Questions (about family history, risk factors, learning problems, occupational problems, symptoms described as having been "always" present (from an ealry age), that have created impairments, things like that).

Checklists/rating scales are important sources of information as well, but the dx doesn't hinge on that .
