I red that sometime certain food and drink can make the Adderall work less. Like Orance juice, anything that is acide can make the Adderall less effective, is it true? Also milk and coffee? Also eating while taking Adderall make it less effective? I took Adderall XR yesterday and it work but again not for long and this time I didn't had that bad of a come down but I did was a bit depressed, today I take Adderall again but it didn't work, can it happen sometime that one day it work better then another day?

I had skip a day, to see if it will work better the other day, it didn't work better but it did work a bit. The day before skipping Adderall, that was Sunday, that day it work okay but after the effect wear off it was pretty bad. It seem like sometime Adderall work for me okay and other day not and sometime I got bad side effects and sometime less, I try to think back what I was eating and drinking to see what will had interact with Adderall to make one day different then another but I try to look back and can't see what I did differently? I hope I am not developping a tolerance to Adderall and with time I will need more and more dose to make me feel normal.

When I get mine filled at Walgreens or anywhere else besides at the pharmacy in the building of my doctors office, the little information sheet they give you tells somethings. At my doctors pharmacy though it goes into MUCH more detail:

"Certain foods and drugs can affect the amount of acid in your stomach/intestines or urine. This can affect how well your body absorbs and uses the medication. Tell you doctor if you are taking any of these products: ammonium chloride, antacids, anti-ulcer medicine (e.g. H2 blockers such as famotidine and ranitidine, proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole and lansoprazole), ascorbic acid (vitamin C) aspirin, carbonic anhydrase inhibitors (e.g., acetazolamide), fruit juices, glutamic acid, guanethidine, methenamine, reserpine, sodium acid phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, certain "water pills" (diuretics, including some thiazides)."

From another pharmacy I read that sodium bicarbonate will HELP the absorbtion. Call the pharmacy and talk to a pharmacist.

Hope this helps.
