I got a cold and today I took 2 tylenold cold night time in the morning and 2 around 4pm. Yesterday I think I took 2 tylenold cold and that day I did take my Adderall XR and it was okay but today the Adderall didn't work at all, is it possible that the Tylenold Cold made the Adderall not work?

If tylenol cold has pseudoephedrine you may have had an interaction. But, I would have thought that would make it stronger, but I'm not a pharmacist so not sure. Ask your pharmacist before you take any additional medications, whether they are over the counter or not please, can be some serious interactions.

The nighttime version wouldn't have pseudophedrine, but the antihistamine could be a culprit. I know that when I'm sick, I don't feel like Adderall is doing as well whether I take something else or not. The good part, though, is that it's a great decongestant!

My wife is ill, I picked her up a night time version from the pharmacy. It had pseudoephedrine, dextromorphan(?), acetaminophen, and um...anitihistamine. Can't remember what the antihistamine was called, two words, first one starts with D and second one was Succinate or something.

I took Tylenol Flu yestetday and it made me feel worse than I did before I took it. I didn't even think about an interaction with Adderall. That's scarey....I need to remember that. Anyway I felt hot and weak, kinda shakey after I took it. I felt like throwing up too. So now I'm afarid to try anything and I'm just suffering through the flu.

I would take today off Adderall and maybe tomorrow, until my cold get better and I will take cold medecine to help me. I didn't had bad side effect even if I took Adderall and Tylenold Cold, I only felt like I usually felt when I got a cold not so good and the Adderall didn't work. Hopefully in a few days my cold will be gone and the Adderall will work again. I hope so coz it gonna be New Year and I'm the one who making the New Year Eve dinner. Wish me luck, I will need it!

I've never seen a nighttime version w/pseudophed. That's insane! I usually check the ingredients whenever I buy OTC, but now I'm going to be even more careful.

2 antihistamines? Wow. That would probably knock you out good, even with the pseudofed.

Adderall is the first thing to help my sinuses other than pseudophedrine. But, if my sinuses are bad enough, I have to take pseudophed, too. It's not pleasant. I often just suffer, too.

"Suffering through" the flu will actually probably help you get over it faster. Relieving the symptoms with meds is a trade-off.

It was generic *shrug*. She was miserable, and doesn't have ADD or take any other medications so she needed knocked out =) . She's been ill for a few days, I haven't caught it, or I have, but the adderall is keeping my sinuses clear...

I have a cold right now too. It's both in my head and chest. I've been taking cold meds and the adderall. The cold meds aren't working and neither is the adderall - except for the decongestant effect.
