Adderall improves my son's mood and ability to focus. Unfortunately, it exacerbates his tics and causes him to perseverate on certain topics. Also the crash is deadly. He's been on it for 6 days. The tics seem to be getting worse and worse.

Could another stim help w/out causing tics? Which stim might have a softer rebound? He is sooooo angry and aggressive during rebound it's scarey.

It certainly sounds like this isn't the med for him. Talk to your son's doc, soon. Other meds might work better, whether stimulant or not. The good news is, there are many meds to work with...the bad news is, you may need to try a few before you find the right one.
