Just diagnosed to add and was thrilled. Was put on 10 ritalin in morning and 18 mg conerta also. Had previously tried boyfriends ritalin to see effects and was amazed. After getting my meds i wasn't so thrilled with effects so starting taking boyfriends meds to. I knew this was wrong but did it for about 3 days and then told him. He takes about 100 mg ritalin a day so I thought I would do same. Came clean after 3 days and then crashed. Now I have been depressed and wanting to sleep and my meds seem ineffective. I am mad at self as felt I have ruined my progress and don't know what to do. Is there anything supplements diet talking to doctor I can do to make it through crash until I talk to doctor again. Please help feel depressed and unhopeful

The only thing you can do is allow the crash and try to come out the other side, taking small steps to get back on your feet again. Unfortunately, it's a hard lesson learned.

It sounds like 100mgs is way too much for you. Your body probably needs a chance to recover. If you are having serious side effects call your doctor or go to the hospital. You should discuss your meds with your doctor and he/she will hopefully be able to help you find the right med/dose that will work for you. Hang in there.

The thing you need to focus on now is making it through the crash, and getting in touch with doc for advice. Be honest with him, and let him know why you're calling him. S/he can't properly help you unless you're upfront with him/her. If s/he doesn't think you should go back on the meds he prescribed, there are other meds out there, most stimulants, though some aren't.

I've gone through your scenario enough times to know the depression following an overdose is usually one or two days (for me at least). Sleeping it off is great if you can. Once you've regained a balance, get back on the prescribed dose. You don't want the highs or lows with these medications. 100 mg per day is considered a high dose. Just because someone else can handle that amount means you can. EveryBODY is different.

I will be seeing my doctor in two days. I think she wants to change meds, get off concerta any suggestions on what meds would benefit me.

Just check out the ADD medications and their various forums and see which ones interest you.

One med doesn't work for any specific ADHD, it's pretty much trial and error.
