I'm currently in a pretty relaxing time as far as work goes, so I've been taking less dex as much less focus is needed. I'm wondering, how long is the shelf life of dex, and would keeping it in the freezer increase this, or does the substance have a negative reaction with extreme temperatures?

The shelf life of amphetamine is relatively long. I read an abstract on the actual shelf life of different pharmaceuticals some time ago, but if memory serves: If kept at 40 degrees fahrenheit, i.e., more or less refridgerated, amp potency was calculated to remain ~100% for just under 20 years.

Interestingly, I recall that the temperature range where the highest degradation rates were observed was 60-80 degrees! I can't speak to freezing it, but wouldn't recommend it.

Anyway, for all practical purposes it doesn't matter. Even if one recklessly exposed their dexedrine to abusive room temperatures, it would remain potent for years. A decade, easy.
