My 6 yr old grandson has lived with me since 2 months old.
A phyciatrist prescribed Adderal 9/05. A big difference in school, focuses on his work and does not constantly get of out of his seat.
11/05 during the Holidays he started waking up in his sleep and talking and banging his head on the pillow and then he would relax and lye back on his pillow. does not remember doing this when asked the next morning. I took him to the pediatrician who recommended he be prescribed meds to help his sleep.
He will confer with the phyciatrist.
I don't want my grandson on sleep meds. It took years to convince me to get him on adderal.
My grandson is starting to suffer with panic/anxiety attacks ...will start jumping arround or running yelling that he can't breath. then after a few seconds to a minute he is ok again.
He is a very bright boy. Has been tested for the gifted/talented and has passed with very high marks.
IS THERE ANY GRANDPARENTS OUT THERE WITH A SIMILAR SITUATION ??
IS THERE ANY HELP FOR MY GRANDSON.?
THANKS
