Just wondering if anyone has the same exp with the way stims effect them.

For example, on my current med, dex, it usualy last about 5 hours. Now for the first, maybe hour or hour and a half, it stimulates me to the point of being counter productive... almost too much, then, after that time, it mellows me out and calms me the way it should.

I can relate in a way. I become overstimulated, like you said, but it lasts about two or three hours. Then I calm down. I never get the good effects from stimulants. I REALLY want to drop this medication, but my mom wants me to wait until the next doctors appointment. Thankfully, it's this Friday.

In my case sometimes there is a bit of overstimulation and lasts no more than an hour. Even then, the "overstimulation" is possibly more calming than the normal stimulation. This is followed by some degree of rebound.
