Our new pediatrician, with an excellent background in ADD, Asperger's, etc., has prescribed Focalin XR for my 9 year old daughter. He says it has been around for a few years. I have never heard of it, nor read anything about it. Has anyone had any experience with it?

TIA,
Kim

focalin is great
I have been using Focalin for a year now. Its the same deal as Ritalin, but I believe its all the good , and less of the bad. The dose is 1/2 that for ritalin, because it only has the half of the chemical that does the good stuff. Focalin is recomemed by me.

This is a nice long thread on the Meds board specific to Focalin (both kinds). My DD was on it for a few months and did well but then we had some rebound issues.
