Hello all;

I have been reading a fair bit about Modafinil (Provigil in the US, Alertec in Canada) lately. I take 40mg (up from 35mg about a week ago) of Strattera, and I find it exacerbates the fatigue and lethargy that I experience due to ADD. It has got to the point where it is extremely debilitating, and I can't go on like this.

I don't want to come off the Strattera because it has worked wonders for my ability to function in my very intense graduate program, and well, until it virtually stopped working about a month ago, was bordering on the miraculous. But now on the 40mg, I am so tired all the time, and I feel like I weigh 1000 lbs, and it is very difficult to do anything. Like I said, I can't go on like this.

I asked both my GP and my psychiatrist about Modafinil, thinking it might help to counter some of these effects, and both of them said they do not prescribe it. I would really like to try it, however, considering much of what I have read about it.

Therefore, for my next appt., I want to take with me some information about it to show them. Does anyone know where I could find some good information about Modafinil that might help me make my case?
