Do you ever feel completely oblivious to everything? Like you thought you had a handle on life and knew what was going on with yourself and your environment just to find out you were so totally wrong?

I'm usually on a see-saw. Sometimes I am so aware of every little thing going on around me, I feel like there's a tornado in my head. But other times, I need to be careful not to get run over from walking straight into the path of oncoming vehicles! There are times when I could never walk and chew gum.

This happens to me a lot. When I feel that my life is going well I kind of ease up on myself. After a while I eased up so much that suddenly everything is going down hill because I didn't do enough to maintain that level of satisfaction. Does that make any sense? I just re-read this and it makes no sense, but I think I'll post it anyway.

It's like whenever I do well or achieve anything, I make at least one enemy. Someone will get paranoid and immediately try to cause me problems.

I have found this is especially true of the work world anytime anyone upstairs takes notice of my doing a good job. Some dork always gets wind of it and then proceeds to do whatever it takes to take me out of the picture.

I'm unfortunately a hard worker who is not petty and warlike. Combine that with ADD and it's clear that I don't have time to get that in tune with people who are like that. I usually do not suspect this sort of thing in time to do anything about it.
