Help! Help! Help!
I am being engulfed by the Fog!!
I have been diagnosed and treated for ADD in the last eighteen months; finally found a decent combination of Concerta and Zoloft. The fog was lifting even if it were for short periods of time. But it was enough to finally come up with some decent coping strategies. Well, I had a meeting with that wonderful pee stick thingy because Aunt Flo failed to show and 'lo and behold + shows up in that little window......:p
So I have had to contend with the extreme tiredness, the all day long morning sickness and the hormonal fog... now I have been told to stop the concerta. Best for baby!!! I am good with that... but what do I do about the ADD in full force?
Anyone else been there? Done that? Survived?

Yes, about three month after I started meds I found I was pregnant and had to stop Concerta. Actually, I survived quite well -- pregnancy has always been good for my ADD believe it or not. Some women's ADD is much better while pregnant, other not. I found that regular walking helped me too. Also, hey you're pregnant -- it's the greatest excuse in the world. Even non ADD women can be a little foggy and off their usual performance. Just blaim in on the pregnancy and take time to relax and enjoy the wonder of making a new little human being! Taking me time, asking for help, and getting plenty of rest are really important now.
Take care,

I know how you feel!!!! I started taking adderall, and about 2 mths later, found out I was pregnant. WHat are the chances???!!! I had been trying to get pregnant for 5 yrs!!!!!!! I had morning sickness for 3 mths., but after the morning sickness passed I was ok. You'll get through it, just take one day at a time and get plenty of rest. Also, drink plenty of water and ask for help when you need it.Anna

I didn't start meds until after my babies were born. And I'm pretty sure we're done. But let me take the opportunity here to say
CONGRATULATIONS! I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Thank you very much... this is baby #6 and I can't remember being either this tired, foggy or sick with my others. But maybe it is the selective forgetfulness that mommies have so they do the baby thing all over again

Wow congratulations!!!
My husband and I have been talking about having another, but I know that I will have to stop my Strattera if we try. Pregnancy was good for me the last time, but I am much older now, I am 36. The stress of dealing with my ADD my daughters ADD, and hey maybe another colicky newbie with ADD might prove to be too much. But gosh those new babies are cute!
I can't imagine having 6, I don't even know if I can do one more... And bring it up to 3.

I am going off of Concerta tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it. It has always been really rough for me getting off it...really tired, totally out of it for a few days. It's good to know that there are other women have survived!
