How will I know BEFORE I go to the doctor if my insurance co. will pay for my meds? For example, say I want to go on Dexedrine.
Is it true some insurance companies would pay for a med if you had (for example) depression, but not ADD? And how would I know that in advance?? Why does it seem to me that insurance companies discriminate against some illnesses....even though they are all medical illnesses?
Where can I learn about the structures of meds? What are they? (I've seen Structure I and II referred to on this website.)
This is so confusing. Help very much appreciated!!

Triana.....I've found that the best way to answer questions about what meds the insurance company will cover is to ask them!

I'm sure there is a number you can call and get the answer....you have that right as a paying subscriber. They can't keep secret their policies regarding covered medications, however they might try and suggest getting a generic product instead of the brand name. But if your doctor insists....and has good reason....they cannot deny you a particular med if it is covered in your policy.
