About a week and a half ago, I started on 10mg of Ritalin twice a day. After about 4 days, I noticed I was getting itchy. It would not happen right after I took Ritalin but maybe an hour or so. Is this a common side effect? It's working so well for me that I hope I'm not allergic. Thanks.

I have been having kinda the same reaction with Adderall and like you it works so well I don't want to have to change but am gonna talk to the Doc tommorrow and see what he says ... will let you know how that goes.

Welcome to the forums!:) I'm glad the medication is working for you. I'd definately run your question about itching by your doctor -- it takes a while for the medication to fully hit your system -- you may be having an allergic reaction an hour into it. Even if you are allergic it doesn't mean something else would work without that problem, if it's not an allergic reaction than you can relax!;)
