I have been really down lately I keep trying to just tell myself to just get over it but I can't seem to do that especially when I'm at home alone, when I'm at work it's not to bad but still sometimes I will start crying without any notice and I just can't seem to stop I have been having allot of money troubles but I'm not real sure if that is it. Could it just be the time of year am I developing some other depressive disorder or something.

I hope you feel better soon Sally. It is important to treat depression with respect, so don't be shy about approaching your doctor about it. If it gets very bad and your thoughts lead to thinking about suicide then you should visit a hospital emergency. There are plenty of meds out there and they can help make you feel better (after a while though - week or so) and then you can take a look at the big picture of what may be the cause of the depression. First, you must treat the symptoms - so seek the advice of a doc. In the mean time - try doing some exercise (I know, at this time it probably sounds as pleasant as poking yourself in the eye), something easy and fun - not necessarily push-ups and jumping jacks (although they work fine too) but a vigorous walk, run or bike. Try to go outside as much as possible. Most importantly, there are many of us who went trough what you're going through and you must remember that it is fixable, it just takes some time. I hope you feel better soon.

We are also here for you, Sally, if there is anything in particular that is bringing you down or you just want someone to vent at... if you can reach me, I'm a pretty good listener, or if you ask, I'm sure a lot of others here would be glad to sit beside you virtually for a while...
