Does anyone know about products like Attend, Focus ADHD Formula, and Calm Child?

This would be for my son, he is 9. We do not want to get him on meds yet.

We have changed our diet, more organic food, more veggies, less sugar (soda...)

but have used Deprex by the same company that makes Attend, Vaxa Corporation. I tried Deprex more than two years ago and did notice a difference for my depression. I stopped using it because I learned about my deficiencies at about the time I received the Deprex in the mail.

From what I could make out from the ingredient list, the company's website, and some other info I came across on the web, I thought the product was well researched. Basically, I would say that Vaxa puts all the supplements together in one pill for you making it easy to take on a regular basis. I can be a bit "old school" sometimes and perfer to use each ingredient separately to control each dose. I do think that Vaxa has learned from orthomolecular (nutritional supplementing) and also homeopathy. Vaxa's products do use homeopathic dilutions for some ingredients. (I think some ingredients are diluted homeopathically but I may be wrong about that.)

Again, the only problem with using products like this is that you do pay a premium for the convenience of having one formula and only one pill to take. I feel that trying these combination products can also provide an introduction to using these types of supplements. You might consider trying this to see if it makes a difference for you, but with the idea that if it does work then you might look into what exactly in the ingredient list you need and taking them in a different form that may be more economical. I mean if this product (or some other one) works maybe the next step is to research each ingredient to understand what it is doing for you. This helps you see exactly what you are missing and then leaves you free to find other ways to supplement these nutrients or substances. (You can have more flexibility with the dosage if you supplement each ingredient separately.) It may be possible that this product contains things that you do not need, and the only way to find that out is by doing some research on each of the ingredients. But I would consider this a great way to try something new for you without having to initially invest a lot of time in researching this entire subject thoroughly.
