Hello,
I am a little perplexed and confused about something and hopine that someone may be able to shed light ??
In the BNF ( Brithish National Formulary)
( lists of medications a gp is allowed to prescribe)
the list of med ie methylphenidate, concerta dexedrine etc appear.
this list i believe is reviewed annually.
Well bearing this in mind why is it then that so much unnecessary worry in gps when prescribing.
If a person has a comprehensive report from an assesment centre , listing a patient care plan and proposed prescribing methods and medications listed also with a shared care plan between the specialist centre and gp.
Do i still find myself hitting brick walls with the medical gps .
And if any others have any sugestions how i can over come this issue help greatly appreciated.
thanks jess
