As a student, and professional who has changed careers at least 3 times (and counting), I have had to endure some of the most grueling and painful moments of my life, head-in-hands. No, I'm not talking about a proctology exam.... ..I'm talking about taking timed tests. You know, those multi-hour exams, with the bubble test sheets? The one's that require a #2 pencil? ARGH!!!! And here I am, a thirty-something person who is now faced with taking a 6 hour exam. I just don't know how I'm going to pull this one off. I don't believe there is a non-timed version of this test, though I am checking in to it. :( I am NOT looking forward to this.

Have you looked into whether you are eligible to receive test taking accomadations under ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act)?

Yes, I checked the 'ADA' box on the test application, but have not yet heard from them what that will entail. <crossing my fingers> Thanks for the suggestion though :)

Let us know Big....I'd like to know what they say and do. By the way, you didn't mention what kind of test you are taking...,...and what have your other careers been?

Hey Big.
I just did a 2 hour Lotto649 (provincial lottery sheet,,bubble tests) of 100 questions on 2 hours of sleep.
ugh.
What I HAVE TO DO is:
set my watch for every 10 minutes
when the alarm goes off, to STAND UP, GET OUT OF MY CHAIR and stretch, swing my arms around, do deep breathing, look away...

take my mind off the exam.
I get to use a private room, and today I actually got out of my chair, sat on the floor to stretch out my back because I was getting so tense!
It really helped.

I hope this gives you some ideas.
It seems that little things make such a big difference.

I had a 7 hour 250 question lotto questionaire exam. Now I'm just waiting for the results.
