I have been using versions of the Franklin Planner since it first came out many, many years ago. It is a lifesaver. I don't use ALL the areas, but the calendar and daily tasks keep me organized. I think that the rest of the planner is awesome too and I am thinking of trying to use the goal setting to help keep on task with the important things in my life. I have so many ideas and goals that I want to achieve and maybe it will help.

I have also been using Franklin Planner (used to be Ascend) for many years. I really like the Project and Notes sections that were introduced in the Planner, and it makes prioritizing really easy. Goal setting isn't as smooth as it was with Ascend, though.
It's too easy for all the to-do's to pile up on your daily list and create overwhelm. I like Franklin's projects tool ibecause it's a good way to get things off your daily task list without losing them. I also like the alarms, though they don't nag as well as the addplanner appears to. Franklin planner can be set to alarm at the time a task is due, 15 minutes before, an hour before... though I have the bad habit of acknowledging and turning the alarm off, thinking I'll remember it for a couple of minutes while I finish up the last task. Have to learn to automatically hit 'snooze.' I also like the option of color-coding my calendar, which gives me visual blocks. If they added a serious nag feature and a colorful analog clock, and I'd be even happier with this program.
